Hershey Facility Requirements

Cat Requirements
To ensure the health and safety of all feline guests, we require that all cats staying with us are up to date on the following vaccinations:
- Rabies – Certificate required; must be valid for the entire stay
- FVRCP – Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus, and Panleukopenia
Additional Requirements:
- Kittens under 16 weeks of age must have vaccination records provided on veterinary letterhead, even if the vaccines were not administered directly by the veterinarian.
- A clean fecal test is required prior to lodging.
- We recommend all feline guests be on flea and tick preventatives before their stay.
Dog Requirements
All dogs must be current on the following vaccinations:
- Rabies – Required for dogs 16 weeks and older
- DAPP/Distemper Combination – At least the first two boosters completed
- Bordetella – Required for protection against kennel cough
Important Notes:
- Puppies (16 weeks and under) must have vaccination records provided on veterinary letterhead, even if the vaccines were not administered directly by the veterinarian.
- Records must show that the puppy has been examined by a veterinarian, and that all vaccines have been documented or transferred into their official medical file.
- A clean fecal test is required prior to lodging.
- Titers cannot be accepted as a substitute for vaccination records.
